Behind the scenes, proprietors Toby Bamford and Greg Pieper are busy creating a style of food that is unique and that challenges the palate. Its showpiece is a tasting menu that allows patrons to design their own degustation menu, or simply to sample something tantalising.

This is a truly memorable experience and Bamboo is fully deserving of its 2007 award for "Best New Restaurant" at the Northern Rivers Restaurant and Catering Awards NSW.
