Information about Tanja: Tanja is a small settlement beautifully situated close by Mimosa Rocks National Park. The road which heads north and south through Tanja passes side roads which lead to Wajur Point, Nelson Lagoon, Gillards Beach, Middle Beach, Wapengo Lake and Aragannu Beach which features one of the finest Aboriginal sites on the coast. There are excellent views across the rocky beach to Mimosa Rocks. At Bunga Heads are a number of rocky coves ideal for snorkelling and rock fishing. Tanja is 12 km north of Tathra and visitors to Tanja can enjoy some excellent secluded rural accommodation.
