Information about Moss Vale:
Moss Vale is a quiet country town which, like many Southern Highlands towns, has an English village feel owing to the climate, town planning and European trees. Throsby Park (1834), just east of Moss Vale, is an impressive colonial Georgian residence set on land granted to Charles Throsby in 1819. Tudor House Preparatory School was attended by Nobel Prize winner, Patrick White. In the area around Moss Vale are historic Bong Bong, Cecil Hoskins Nature Reserve and Briars Inn (c.1845). The Cockatoo Run steam train operates out of Moss Vale. Beautiful and historic accommodation is available at Moss Vale.
