Information about Gawler:
Gawler is located 44 km north of Adelaide. South Australia's second-oldest country town, Gawler is a thriving centre in an area dominated by wheat and vineyards. The town has an incredible range of old buildings, including the superb Old Bushman Inn, the Gawler Congregational Church (completed in 1861), Gawler Courthouse (1881), the Anglican and Catholic churches, Gawler Town Hall (1878), Gawler Post Office (1866) and H. B. Crosby's store which is a piece of the 1940s frozen in aspic, complete with 'flying fox'. Visitors to Gawler will find some quality bed-and-breakfast accommodation.
