Information about Dover:
Dover is a delightful and sleepy little town which can legitimately claim to be the southernmost town of significance in Australia. Originally a convict probation station, Dover has become an important fishing port. Picturesquely situated on Port Esperance, Dover is an attractive town offering excellent views across the water to the islands named Faith, Hope and Charity. It is possible to sail from Dover across to Faith Island where there are a number of historic graves. The major attraction in Dover is Casey's Living Steam Museum. Fine rural accommodation is available for those who visit Dover.
