Mount Martha features a pleasant beach backed by a foreshore reserve. Behind the foreshore is Balcombe Creek Wetlands. The Briars Historic Park is a graceful 12-room homestead built between 1848 and 1851 with extensions in the 1860s. It has a boardwalk and two birdhides situated within 30 ha of wetlands.
