Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre is renowned for its ability to successfully manage complex and high profile events of any size. • LOCATION


Situated on the spectacular waterfront of Darling Harbour, the Centre is home to a variety of entertainment, dining, transport and accommodation options, providing event organisers with a range of promotional opportunities. The Centre is only a 10 minute walk from the central business district and a 20 minute drive from Sydney Airport and accessible by monorail, taxi, coach, ferry and light rail.

• MEETING CAPACITY


The 33 superbly designed and equipped meeting and function rooms can be easily configured to suit the requirements of any event. The Centre’s two auditoria, seating 3,500 and 1,000 people, are perfect for opening ceremonies, award presentations or business sessions. In addition, the Centre’s 27,200 square metres of exhibition space can be integrated with the meeting facilities to accommodate the needs of any event.

• ACCOMMODATION CAPACITY


A range of accommodation options are available, with over 2,000 hotel rooms located in Darling Harbour and within walking distance of the Centre, as well as a variety of accommodation types located in and around the Sydney central business district.

AUDIO VISUAL FACILITIES


Whatever the technical requirements, the Centre’s in-house audio visual department has the resources and expertise to make the lighting, sound and vision for any event a resounding success. Also on-site for convenience and service, the Centre’s own Video Production unit (CVP), offers the full range of creative and technical services for film, television and video productions.

BUSINESS FACILITIES


Advanced communication solutions are available throughout the venue, featuring high-speed, high-quality data, wireless Internet, networking and video services. The fully equipped Business Centre provides the perfect space for attendees and organisers to catch up on emails and discuss business, while the adjacent Bayside Boardroom is ideal for half or fullday meetings for up to 24 people.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE


The Centre is famous for its contemporary and innovative cuisine, using the highest quality, fresh seasonal produce. Whether it’s an intimate corporate dinner or a large themed event, the Centre offers multiple menu options created by a world-class culinary team.

GENERAL FACILITIES


Undercover parking for 900 cars is available in the Exhibition Centre car park. The Centre has 24 hour security and advanced telecommunication services throughout the venue. Visitors can relax between business sessions in the Centre’s recently opened Bayside Lounge, which can also be booked for cocktail functions (see Bayside Lounge listing).
