Crown Conference Centre: Covering 1,940 square metres, the Crown Conference Centre is Melbourne's only purpose-built and fully flexible hotel conference and convention facility. This versatile facility can cater for small meetings, seminars, product launches and exhibitions, and conferences and cocktail parties. Its centre-piece, the Promenade Room, is a large pillar-less space with high ceilings and operable (removable) walls which allows seating capacity for 660 people theatre-style and a variety of configurations. The Conference Centre also has an additional ten meeting rooms of varying sizes, all featuring natural light. The facility is equipped with full audiovisual support with the latest in event technology and the services of a professional conference management team, a fully equipped Business Centre, and a spacious pre-function area complete with café, bar, registration area and cloak room.
Third Hotel Development: Crown has started construction on a new 658-room, 4.5 star hotel, which will bring the total number of hotel rooms available at the Crown Entertainment Complex to more than 1600 rooms. The new hotel site will front Clarendon Street, a short walk away from the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Together with Crown Towers and Crown Promenade Hotel, the third Crown hotel will complement the new Convention Centre being built by the Victorian government at South Wharf.
