“meetings with heart”

Outstanding facilities and a prime Sydney CBD location makes the
Wesley Conference Centre a favourite for all types of meeting and business events.

In these days of increasing corporate social responsibility, there are not many opportunities to give something back to the community. But conference organisers and clients who choose the Wesley Conference Centre in the centre of the Sydney CBD are not only getting an extremely modern, state-of-the-art meeting facility but they are also assisting Wesley Mission in their worthy work.

The Wesley Conference Centre boasts a wide range of meeting options. The tiered Wesley Theatre seats 900 people theatre style, has full projection facilities and has become increasingly popular for corporate AGMs and roadshows.

The 278 square metre Lyceum can hold 220 people theatre style. A further six meeting and break-out rooms are configured in a variety of styles, and sizes down to rooms capable of holding 30 people.

Wesley Conference Centre marketing manager Brian Collier said: “I think it speaks volumes about our commit-ment to excellence that repeat business runs at around 90 per cent across the board. An important specialty these days is in the training sector, with an ever-increasing demand from this field. A common comment from our clients’ evaluation reports is that we have the friendliest and most helpful staff in Sydney.”

Top Quality Facilities

State-of-the-art audiovisual facilities, including high quality data projection, video editing facilities, and multi-point video and teleconferencing abilities, create the perfect corporate environment. For busy executives and organisers, the Wesley Conference Centre also has a fully equipped Business Centre.

Conference day packages are available which include meeting room hire, morning and afternoon teas and lunch. Innovative catered break options can be as indulgent or buttoned-down as required, with treats such as German apple strudel with vanilla anglaise, rhubarb crumble tartlets, and baked Austrian doughnuts with apricot marmalade and vanilla sauce provide something a little extra for the jaded conference delegate. Breakfast and dinner menus are also available. The Wesley Conference Centre is a major financial supporter to Wesley Mission’s activities. By holding conferences or meetings at the Wesley Conference Centre, corporations and government departments are positively contributing to community support and, at the same time, enjoying the service and benefits of an extremely professional and well-appointed conference centre.

Service To The Community

Wesley Mission began life more than 190 years ago as the Central Methodist Mission, assisting the poor and needy of Sydney. In 1992, the Wesley Conference Centre was established as a not-for-profit organisation, which funds the activities of Wesley Mission, under the guidance of the highly-respected Reverend Dr Gordon Moyes AC.
“In the early years, it was difficult to get the message to the meetings industry that we were a ‘real’ conference centre and not just an extension of Wesley Mission in the form of church halls,” said Mr Collier. “We still have to balance the needs of the church, with its internal Wesley events, and the corporate sector, but the Wesley Conference Centre is now widely recognised as a professional conference centre in its own right,” said Mr Collier.

With its outstanding facilities, friendly and efficient highly-trained staff, and prime CBD location close to all transport and city hotels, the Wesley Conference Centre is a prime choice for conferences, meetings, AGMs, product launches, seminars and training sessions.

And, in placing such business with the Wesley Conference Centre, organisers and clients can rest assured they are doing something extremely important for the wider community and its less fortunate members.
