Sunshine Superland

Noosa is the Sunshine Coast’s best known location although there
are many more to choose from.

Meeting & function venues on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

The Sunshine Coast, located an hour north of Brisbane, has a varied appeal. At the northern end, there’s hip and happening Noosa, which mixes equal parts Gold Coast, Double Bay and South Yarra. At the southern end, there are the family friendly resort towns such as Maroochydore and Caloundra that are only now beginning to conform to the dictates of fashion.

A wealth of small properties and such large resorts as the Hyatt Regency Coolum compete for the conference market but there’s enough choice and diversity to satisfy even the most demanding meetings organiser.

Although there are more than 65 kilometres of beaches, there are also many attractions in the Hinterland as well. Such towns as Maleny, Montville, Mapleton and Flaxton have their own distinct characters and the views from these mountaintop retreats are quite spectacular.

Mooloolaba is widely celebrated for its beaches and in 2002 won the award for Queensland’s Cleanest Beach. Health
and fitness go hand-in-hand at the Outrigger Mooloolaba International Beach Resort with its new Active Living Health Studio.

NORTH TO SOUTH

Located beside Outrigger’s indoor heated swimming pool, it offers conference delegates a full range of services including beauty treatments, massage and even personal training. Unlike many resort gyms, Active Living offers a complete mind, body and soul package, including yoga and pilates classes for a totally invigorating holiday experience.

The 231 square metre Outrigger Room can host 120 people theatre style or 150 for banquets, or can be configured into three smaller rooms. The 32 square metre private board room seats up to 12 persons.

The BreakFree Grand Pacific Resort and Conference Centre has 113 self-contained one, two and three bedroom apartments. With spectacular views of the Pumicestone Passage and Pacific Ocean, the Grand’s conference room seats 150 people theatre style or 100 for banquets.
