An exciting new eco-tourism resort is set to invigorate Byron Bay


Byron Bay conference and function venueThe Byron at Byron will become Byron Bay’s first fully integrated international resort when it opens its doors this November promising to attract the attention of the most discerning leisure and business travellers.

Located on the idyllic north coast of NSW, just a 90-minute flight from Sydney to either Ballina or Gold Coast airports, the resort guestrooms offer plasma television, Play Station, California king-bed, L-shaped lounge, galley kitchen, large bathroom, washing machine/dryer, data ports for high speed Internet connection and two verandas to catch the morning and afternoon sun. Stage 1 of the accommodation component will offer 60 rooms from December 2004, with a further 32 rooms opening by April 2005.

The eco-tourist resort is being developed on an 18 hectares rainforest site and will include a restaurant and bar, six-room spa treatment centre, gymnasium and numerous leisure facilities, including a 25-metre pool and outdoor sauna. The Pacific Ocean is just a few hundred metres away.

Conference and meeting facilities will comprise a 216 square metre conference room capable of seating up to 210 people theatre-style or 300 for cocktails, and divisible into three separate rooms. An experienced conference team can handle all arrangements and the latest data ports and wireless connections are available to ensure all communication needs are met.
