SOFITEL FIJI RESORT & SPA
This will be Fiji’s largest and most modern conference facility, with a ballroom that caters for up to 720 delegates theatre style or 640 for banquets. The resort also boasts eight meetings rooms.

Theme dinners will feature strongly, including a Beach Party and traditional Fijian Lovo. Sofitel has also teamed up with Andrenalin Fiji to offer a comprehensive choice of activities, from skydiving to sailing and scuba diving. The resort has 296 rooms, all with ocean views, and is located on 26 acres with three restaurants, three bars, a lagoon-style pool, a day spa, children’s club, retail outlets and wedding chapel. Resort guests also have access to Denarau Golf & Racquet Club, with its 18 hole course and 10 tennis courts.
SOFITEL BRISBANE
Currently undergoing a soft refurbishment, Sofitel Brisbane boasts the city’s largest hotel function centre, with capacity for 1,200 delegates. In addition, there is a range of meeting areas, hi-tech board rooms and a large outdoor terrace ideal for cocktail receptions, dinners and parties.
Sofitel Brisbane boasts 413 rooms, including 65 executive rooms and 25 luxurious suites. There’s a variety of restaurants and bars, and the hotel has installed a new chef from Sofitel New York to ensure the highest standards in banqueting.
The Sofitel has added the new Montpellier room on the lobby level, which was originally the hotel’s fine-dining restaurant and is now a popular venue for private functions. In early 2006, the hotel will launch the city’s most spectacular executive lounge – Club Sofitel on the 30th floor – with unparalleled facilities and spectacular views.

SOFITEL QUEENSTOWN
Queenstown now has its first 5 star internationally branded hotel with the arrival of the Sofitel, which boasts New Zealand’s most high-tech board room. In early 2006, the hotel will add the first-ever Sofitel Le Spa in the Asia Pacific.
The hotel has 82 ultra-luxurious suites and can cater for conferences or events for up to 80 delegates, with a choice of restaurants and bars under the guidance of celebrity chef Shane Watson.

MERCURE HOTEL SYDNEY AIRPORT
Mercure Hotel Sydney Airport is finalising a multimillion-dollar renovation that will see it become a major conference venue. A completely new fit-out to its ballroom and meetings rooms makes it one of Sydney’s “newest” meeting spots, with capacity to host anything from a board meeting for 12 to a ball for 400. Direct vehicle access makes it perfect for car launches and means bump-in and bump-out are quick and simple.
When the meetings are over, the hotel boasts resort facilities – including a tennis complex, squash courts, heated outdoor pool and fully equipped gym – and is surrounded by parklands and river frontage, offering a range of leisure options.

MERCURE HOTEL HOBART
The newly re-branded Mercure Hotel Hobart was launched in late July and has recently undergone a refurbishment. Located in the heart of the CBD, the 4 star hotel features 140 rooms in a choice of standard, superior or deluxe. State-of-the-art conference facilities make it a popular choice for functions, with eight meetings rooms offering seating from six to 220. The hotel showcases the best Tasmanian produce in its banqueting menus and provides state-of-the-art audiovisual facilities and impeccable presentation to ensure a memorable event.
SOFITEL MELBOURNE
Sofitel Melbourne has unveiled a dramatic renovation to its rooms and public areas, and now offers the latest technology combined with the world’s most comfortable sleeping experience – My Bed. All guestrooms start on the 36th floor, offering stunning views over Melbourne and a new level of luxury, with features such as mood lighting and integrated in-room technology.
Sofitel Melbourne offers 13 function rooms, including the Grand Ballroom, which can host up to 1,400 for cocktails or 840 banquet style. The Arthur Streeton Auditorium offers tiered seating for 380 people and the new Terrace provides an unusual venue for product launches and exhibitions.

State-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and the latest in banqueting facilities make the ballroom one of Sydney’s best venues, with capacity for up to 1,100 people.
Seven other rooms, all with natural light, enable full-scale conventions or intimate board meetings. The hotel is fully cabled with broadband and ISDN lines for webcasting, as well as Wi-Fi access in public areas.
With the entire third floor focused on meetings and conventions, all rooms have been upgraded and new space added to the foyer by moving the Convention and Catering office. The result is a fully flexible event space that delivers the highest standards in setting, food and beverage, and ambience.
