The High Life

The Victorian High Country and Snowfields are best known as Australia’s winter resort playground. But they are also an excellent choice for conferences and meetings, with top facilities and fantastic outdoor activities.

Taking in Falls Creek, Mount Hotham, Mount Buffalo and Mount Buller, the alpine region is good choice year round, and it’s within easy reach of Melbourne. Mount Buller is just 220 kilometres away and lies adjacent to the Alpine National Park, which covers about 646,000 hectares.

At the foot of Mount Buller is Pinnacle Valley Resort, where a multimillion-dollar renovation program has been undertaken, scheduled for completion in February 2006, following the resort’s acquisition in 2005 by the Accor Premiere Vacation Club.
Hotel rooms at the resort, at the foot of Mount Buller, will be converted to 4½ star self-contained apartments. The new apartments will complement the existing 17 chalets and provide greater flexibility of accommodation styles for conference delegates.
