Escape To The South Coast
With its mild climate, untouched beaches and spectacular wilderness areas, the NSW South Coast is a perfect escape for corporate groups.
The
region begins just south of Sydney at Illawarra and extends to the Victorian
border, offering a magnificent diversity of coastal, forest, mountain
and rural country.
Its natural, unspoiled environment provides for a variety of experiences

The waterfront venue has four main conference rooms and 4½ star
Federation-style villas overlooking the Clyde River, allowing delegates
to enjoy morning tea while watching pelicans come in for a smooth landing.
With 16 acres of landscaped grounds bordering Corrigan’s Beach, the
resort offers teambuilding activities and a range of itinerary ideas to

Lincoln Downs’ 10 acres of sprawling English-style gardens have been
faithfully restored, complete with resident peacocks. The interiors haven’t
been ignored either. In an Australian motel “first”, Lincoln
Downs has put in pillow-top beds in a number of rooms, providing ultimate
comfort and luxury to ensure a better night’s sleep.
Wireless technology enables faster access to broadband and a state-of-the-art
conference centre contains three meetings rooms, complete with comprehensive
audiovisual and business facilities for up to 150 people. All meetings
rooms take advantage of natural lighting and garden views.
The resort has a 15 metre salt-water swimming pool, tennis court, billiards
room, barbeque area and cocktail lounge with an open fireplace.

WOLLONGONG WEALTH
Novotel Northbeach Wollongong has confirmed its place as a top conference
venue by taking out a 2005 Meetings and Business Tourism Award. The resort’s
general manager, Mr Walter Immoos, says the hotel was thrilled to receive
the state tourism award. “This award confirms that not only are we
the best in the region, but that we can also more than compete with city
hotels and provide a unique conference venue,” Immoos says.
The hotel also won an award for outstanding community service, recognising
the commitment it has to extensive support and sponsorship of a variety
of charities and community activities. It took out the Illawarra Tourism
Award in the Meetings and Business category for the second year. Mr Immoos
says the hotel attributes its success to its idyllic location, staff dedication
and innovative approach to tourism and customer service.
The hotel’s multi-award-winning conference facilities have a 600
seat pillarless ballroom and extensive pre-function and exhibition area
catering for up to 30 exhibitor booths.
The
hotel also features extensive leisure facilities, such as a tennis court,
gym, pool, sauna and on-site day spa. It is only minutes from a variety
of activities – beachfront cycle and walkways, surfing, skydiving,
bushwalking, golf and deep-sea fishing.
