Built on the River Torrens, Adelaide is elegant with a hip street life, shopping, arts and culture. Dining is a real pleasure and you name it, Adelaide has it, whether your guests or delegates are looking for bars, pubs, clubs, fine dining or cafes. Dine alfresco on Rundle Street East, find seafood and Asian flavours on Gouger and a delicious mix on O’Connell and Melbourne Streets in North Adelaide. The Adelaide Central Markets (great for breakfast) are the place to discover local delicacies and fresh produce.

At nearby Glenelg, the seaside experience includes a wooden jetty, cafes, pubs and restaurants and the opportunity to swim with dolphins or to discover more about Great White Sharks at the Rodney Fox Shark Experience. Exclusive cage diving to the ocean floor can be arranged from two to eight days’ duration – perfect for thrill-seekers.

Outside Adelaide, the lovely Clare Valley to the north has more than 35 cellar doors including its oldest, Sevenhill Cellars, founded by the Jesuits in 1851. The wonderful old copper mining town of Burra has treasures such as the Monster Mine and the dugout dwellings of Creek Street.

Fringed with beaches, the Fleurieu Peninsula, 40 minutes south of Adelaide, has the wines of the McLaren Vale to sample plus walking, surfing, fishing and diving. Vibrant Victor Harbor is a major winter whale-watching centre while further around the coast is the Coorong National Park, a Wetland of International Importance, which was the setting for the movie Storm Boy.
